Hello, my name is Michelle.
I am a registered psychotherapist who draws from a variety of different approaches. I am a mother of 4 children. I love to read, go hiking, meet new people, and traveling. I appreciate the steps that you are taking towards change and growth. I personally understand what it is like to come from a place of needing and asking for help. This awareness helps me to empathize and create a place for you to share your unique experiences. I would love the opportunity to provide a safe space for you to do so. It would to be an honor for me to help you re-write new chapters in your story. I provide a 15 minute free consultation in which you can determine if I am the right fit for you.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Eclectic Therapy Draws from different therapeutic methods based on what fits each client best. It is flexible and personalized rather than following one single model.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is collaborative founded on mutual trust, authenticity, compassion, non-judgmental stance, warmth, and trust. It is not only understanding you but how our therapeutic connection shapes your meaning of self and others. We will also attempt to discover if and how culture, social norms, trauma-informed, familial patterns, spirituality, and other factors influence you.
