Therapy can be a space to slow down and understand what’s happening beneath the surface. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationships, identity, and belonging. Many of the people I support are thoughtful, capable people who appear to be managing well but feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or exhausted inside.
You may find yourself carrying a lot, being hard on yourself, struggling to set boundaries, or wondering why familiar patterns keep showing up despite how much you understand about yourself.
My approach is compassionate and curious. Rather than seeing these experiences as something that needs to be fixed, therapy can help us understand what is happening within you and create more space for choice, balance, and a different relationship with yourself.
Culture, family, identity, and lived experience are also welcome in our work together. You do not have to separate these parts of your experience from what brings you to therapy.

Treatment Approach
- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychodrama A group therapy that uses role-play and dramatization to process emotions. It helps clients gain perspective and release tension.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
- Transpersonal Therapy Integrates spirituality and higher states of consciousness with psychology. It encourages growth beyond the individual self.
Approach Description: My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic awareness, Focusing, and other experiential therapies. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or trying to change the parts of yourself that feel difficult, we approach your experience with curiosity and compassion.
IFS recognizes that we all have different parts of our personality that can develop ways of protecting us, particularly in response to difficult experiences, relationships, or expectations. A part of you might work hard to keep everything together, avoid conflict, anticipate what others need, push you to achieve, or withdraw when things become overwhelming. These patterns often developed for good reasons, even when they no longer feel helpful.
Together, we can slow things down enough to notice what is happening in your thoughts, emotions, and body, understand what these patterns may be protecting, and create more space for choice. The goal is not to get rid of parts of yourself, but to develop a different relationship with them and with yourself.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process shaped by what you bring into the room and what feels most important to you. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong or a specific goal for therapy. Sometimes we begin simply with what has been feeling difficult, confusing, or different lately.
Our conversations may explore patterns that keep repeating, emotions that feel difficult to make sense of, relationships and boundaries, expectations you carry, or the ways you have learned to cope and take care of yourself and others. We can also pay attention to what you notice in your body and what becomes present as we slow things down together.
There is space here for the broader context of your life. Culture, family, identity, intergenerational expectations, relationships, and lived experience can all be part of understanding what has shaped you and what matters to you now.
I aim to offer a space that feels warm, respectful, and non-judgmental while also gently inviting deeper exploration when it may be helpful. We move at a pace that honours where you are while creating room for greater understanding, choice, and change.
If you are considering therapy, I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation where we can talk about what is bringing you in, what you are looking for, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
