Dina Hijazi

Psychologist, PhD, CSAT
Hi all, I’m Dr. Dina Hijazi, PhD, CSAT. My clinical work focuses on the holistic treatment of relationships—with both self and others. This includes supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, intimacy disorders, trauma, and addiction, always with a focus on emotional, psychological, and social well-being. With over 35 years of experience I'm sure I can help you. My educational journey includes a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Purdue University, a Master’s from Notre Dame University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Postdoctoral training in family systems therapy and trauma/addiction work was completed under the mentorship of Pia Mellody and Patrick Carnes. I also hold national certifications in Sex Addiction Therapy (CSAT), Multiple Addiction Therapy (CMAT), and training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Sharing this work with broader audiences has been deeply fulfilling—whether through The Meadows Lecture Series, The Dallas Free Lecture Series, or speaking engagements at universities, conferences, and schools. Clients who reside locally most often schedule in-person sessions. Other local clients can elect to blend in person and remote hypnotherapy sessions using Zoom. Clients who reside out of the immediate area or in another State will have all of their sessions using Zoom. To accommodate the online process, I use a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom to protect your privacy and confidentiality. If you are not familiar with Zoom, note that it is a free download that works splendidly with a cell phone, tablet, or laptop. Once you download Zoom, and before your first session, we will connect and practice a bit at no cost to you. My goal is to make the remote process both easy and comfortable for you. My online hypnotherapy services are identical in content to those I conduct in person. In that I pride myself as being an educator charged with teaching you a lifelong skillset, you will need to be able to receive and print email attachments. Lastly, especially for those who reside out of the area, payment is by way of PayPal.
