Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
Trauma doesn't just stay in the past; it lives in your present-day nervous system, keeping you hypervigilant, reactive, and emotionally exhausted. Even if you completely understand the history behind your symptoms, your body may still feel trapped in survival mode, leading to sudden outbursts of anger, deep self-criticism, or relationship strain. Using evidence-based trauma therapy and EMDR, we go beyond traditional talk therapy to actively process how your body stores stress. You can clear these deep-seated blocks, find physical relief, and safely step into a life defined by emotional safety.

Stacy King
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
In 2020, I was trained in Compassionate Inquiry, a trauma-based psychotherapeutic method developed by Dr. Gabor Matè that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world. His view is that trauma is at the root of all human dysfunction, addiction, affliction, disease, confusion, and separation from the self.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
Trauma can leave you feeling fragmented, hyper-vigilant, and disconnected from yourself. In our safe space, we’ll work collaboratively to process the traumatic memories so they no longer hold emotional power over you. We will gently explore and nurture the protective 'parts' of you that developed in survival, helping them step back so your innate wisdom can lead. Your treatment will include powerful tools to help you build deep inner safety and connect with the stabilizing rhythms of nature.

Greta Klaber
Marriage and Family Therapist, Ma, LMFT
I have specialized training in trauma treatment, including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which views trauma as something deeply rooted in the body and nervous system. In our work together, we focus on safety, pacing, and understanding the coping strategies your system has developed in response to overwhelming experiences.
Trauma can leave people feeling fragmented, disconnected, or stuck in patterns of dissociation or reactivity. Using somatic awareness and parts work, we learn to track these responses, build regulation tools, and develop a more compassionate and empowered relationship with your experience.

Something bad happens, nothing good follows, and everyone pretends it's okay. This simple series of events can lead to lasting emotional and physical symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms make us feel crazy. Let me assure you, you are not crazy and you are not alone. I am trained in a trauma treatment technique called eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), that can allow for integration of traumatic memories into one's healthy and coherent narrative. I would be honored to provide you a safe space to work through the painful experiences that just won't seem to go away.

Dr. Sypher is highly experienced in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). CPT is designed to help individuals process and make sense of traumatic experiences by identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs that can develop in the aftermath of trauma. Through a structured and collaborative approach, Dr. Sypher supports clients in examining how trauma has impacted their thoughts about themselves, others, and the world, and in developing more balanced and adaptive perspectives. This work can lead to meaningful reductions in symptoms such as intrusive memories, avoidance, guilt, shame, and hypervigilance. Childhood trauma is a series of experiences that are accumulated over time, and untangling them can feel overwhelming. It doesn’t have to involve physical abuse or be one big recognizable event; repeated instances of emotional neglect and not recieving appropriate support from your caregivers when going through a difficult time can be just as harmful. In fact, complex, developmental trauma (CPTSD) often has emotional neglect at its core. Neglect is what you should have had but didn’t get as a child; what didn’t happen that should have happened. Emotional neglect occurs when parents don’t respond to, acknowledge, or validate their child’s feelings often enough. Repeatedly not being listened to by your parents, being teased for expressing your emotions, or being told “if you don’t stop crying, I will give you something to cry about” all can take a toll. A child growing up in this environment, even if their parents "mean well" and provide for their physical needs, has no room for emotions. This child might have a hard time identifying, understanding and expressing their feelings. These difficulties can last into adulthood. Our childhood traumatic experiences continue to affect how we feel about ourselves when we become adults. Adults who experienced childhood emotional neglect often have life-long negative beliefs about themselves. They often feel lonely, empty, unimportant, different, and unfulfilled in life. This affects how we build relationships with other people, and how we handle conflict and stressful situations. Together, we will work to understand how your past experiences are impacting your current reality. We will chart a path forward, using EMDR, Somatic approaches and others, towards something healthier, more balanced and whole, so that you will feel more comfortable setting necessary boundaries with difficult people and living authentically. - - - “Healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about removing the barriers to what is already whole.” Faisal Ali Sarohi

I have extensive experience conducting therapy and assessments for children, teens, and adults affected by trauma, including those involved in foster care and adoption, survivors of childhood sexual abuse, bullying, chronic health conditions, and interactions with the justice system. My training includes trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and I have delivered cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for PTSD to trauma-impacted college students as part of a federally funded clinical treatment study.
