Grief is not a process that you go through and get past, but a total reshaping of your love and your life. I believe grief is an active process, and though it feels like your emotions are unpredictable, there are skills that can help you manage what you are feeling and and to create a new life for yourself while honoring the past. Maybe you are grieving the loss of a loved one or the loss of a job, or perhaps something you've longed for is not working out or did not turn out how you had imagined. Any of these situations are worthy of grief. You deserve a place to voice all of your feelings and to feel supported, as you are adjusting to a reality that you did not ask for and do not want. I have worked with many types of grief, and some of my specialty areas are in miscarriage and NICU parenting. If you are hurting, disappointed, frustrated, angry, confused, or feeling numb and have experienced or are going through any type of loss, please reach out. I'd love to talk about what healing looks like to you and how I can help you in the process.

Most people will experience loss at some point in their lives. Grief is a reaction to any form of loss. Bereavement is a type of grief involving the death of a loved one.
Bereavement and grief encompass a range of feelings from deep sadness to anger. The process of adapting to a significant loss can vary dramatically from one person to another. It often depends on a person’s background, beliefs, and relationship to what was lost.
In grief and loss therapy, I begin by creating a safe space for clients to express their emotions and share their experiences. Through compassionate listening and empathy, I help clients navigate the stages of grief at their own pace. Using evidence-based techniques such as narrative therapy and mindfulness, I support clients in processing their feelings of loss and adjusting to life changes. Together, we explore ways to honor and remember their loved ones while finding meaning and purpose in their own lives. Regular sessions allow for ongoing support and adjustment of therapeutic strategies as needed, empowering clients to heal and find resilience amidst loss.
Grief is experienced differently by each individual. I provide education about the Stages of Grief. Each individual grieves loss differently. I process with my clients about the loss and assist with providing tools that resonants with the client so that it's beneficial for processing.
