Anxiety can be one of the most confusing struggles for believers. You can pray faithfully, read Scripture, stay connected to church, and still experience racing thoughts, tightness in your chest, fear, overwhelm, or a nervous system that won’t settle down.
If you’ve ever thought:
- “If I really trust God, why am I still anxious?”
- “Why can’t I just give this to God and stop worrying?”
- “Does my anxiety mean my faith isn’t strong enough?”
You’re not alone—and those questions are exactly why I’m hosting this webinar.
You’re invited: A Christian Mental Health Webinar
Managing Anxiety with Faith-Based Strategies is a 60-minute live, online educational webinar focused on helping you understand anxiety and respond to it with practical tools that integrate Christian faith and mental health principles.
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026
Time: 12:00–1:00 PM ET
Location: Online
This webinar is designed to be supportive, clear, and practical—not shaming or simplistic. We won’t reduce anxiety to “just stop worrying.” Instead, we’ll take an honest look at what anxiety is, why it shows up, and how to respond in ways that are both spiritually grounded and clinically informed.
Why this topic matters (especially in Christian spaces)
In many Christian communities, anxiety can quietly become associated with guilt: “If my faith were stronger, I wouldn’t feel this way.” That belief often adds a second layer of suffering: anxiety plus self-judgment.
In reality, anxiety is frequently a nervous system response—your body’s built-in alarm system activating to keep you safe. Sometimes it’s helpful. Sometimes it becomes overactive, persistent, or disconnected from true present-day danger.
Faith can be a powerful source of comfort and resilience, but learning what’s happening in the brain and body can help you work with anxiety rather than feeling blindsided by it.
What we’ll cover in the webinar
This is a live teaching + guided practice + Q&A format. You’ll leave with understanding as well as tools you can use immediately.
1) Why anxiety happens
We’ll walk through the basics of the fight, flight, and freeze response—what it is and what changes inside you when anxiety gets activated (thoughts, sensations, emotions, and behaviors).
The goal is simple: when you understand anxiety, it becomes less mysterious and more manageable.
2) How faith and mental health can work together
We’ll explore how to hold anxiety with spiritual maturity—without treating it as evidence of spiritual failure.
Faith and mental health skills are not competitors. When integrated thoughtfully, they can help you respond to anxiety with both truth and wisdom, prayer and practice, comfort and action.
3) Practical strategies you can actually use
We’ll practice simple, effective tools for calming and grounding yourself—especially when your mind feels loud and your body feels stuck in high alert. Tools include:
- Breath Prayer: combining intentional breathing with Scripture
- 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding: using your senses and awareness of God’s creation to reconnect to the present moment
- “Cast Your Cares” Practice: a structured way to move from overwhelming worry toward prayer and practical next steps
Even if you’ve heard of grounding or breathwork before, this webinar will help you apply them in a faith-integrated way that feels aligned with your beliefs.
Live Q&A
We’ll end with time for a live Q&A, where you can ask questions about anxiety, faith, and how to use the strategies in real-life moments—panic spirals, nighttime worry, stressful seasons, or ongoing anxious patterns.
Who this webinar is for
This webinar is a good fit if you:
- are a Christian experiencing anxiety (mild to intense)
- feel stuck in recurring worry and “what if” thought loops
- want coping strategies that align with your faith
- are tired of feeling guilty for struggling
- want practical tools you can use the same day you learn them
A Scripture reminder we’ll keep close
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7
Peace doesn’t always arrive as an instant feeling. Sometimes peace begins as a practice—choosing grounded, faithful steps in the middle of a hard moment.
