Shelley Westergard

Counsellor/Therapist, Master of Counselling Psychology, MACP, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, BA, Addictions Certificate
I am genuinely interested in hearing my client's story. I aim to create a space between us that is collaborative and comfortable as we unpack your story, address your pain, and heal wounds. I work with clients ages 12 and up from all walks of life. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, couples and relationship work, addictions, attachment issues, life transitions, self-esteem and co-dependency. I work slowly and curiously. I ask questions, provoking deeper meaning, and slow things down, resting on underlying emotions. I appreciate working with all concerns, big or small, slow or fast. I believe humans are built for connection and secure attachments. We however are not always offered this. I work to create secure attachments with my clients as we move toward addressing their goals and uncovering their full potential.

Meera Duncan

Counsellor/Therapist, Honorary Doctorate Psychology, Counselling Therapist,Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist, & Author
Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Clinical Hypnotherapy for children, teens, and adults. In-person and online therapy sessions available. I’m excited to share a new offering within my practice that I’ve been thoughtfully developing: a series of small, in-person group therapy programs designed to provide a unique and supportive therapeutic experience. The next Group Therapy sessions begin in September. These sessions are truly unique, integrating counselling and clinical hypnotherapy to support emotional well-being, personal growth, and stress reduction, allowing for both meaningful discussion and deeper work focused on calming the nervous system and activating the parasympathetic response. These small group programs are designed for children, teens, and parents, with a focus on building emotional resilience, confidence, and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges within a supportive and structured environment. Group therapy programs begin in the fall. Spaces are limited, so please email Meera if interested in registration for one of the group therapy programs. There is also more information about each program on her clinic website. Spaces are intentionally limited to maintain a supportive group experience. Reaching out for support takes courage. I am passionate about guiding individuals through meaningful change and helping them reconnect with their innate capacity for healing and growth. My work integrates counselling, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and clinical hypnotherapy to support both the conscious and subconscious mind. This approach allows for deeper emotional processing, insight, and lasting transformation by addressing patterns at their root. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, or a period of transition, I provide a grounded and supportive space to explore your experiences, develop greater self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change. Are you ready to begin experiencing your life in a new way?

Laura Hall, Red Rock Psychology

I offer comprehensive psychoeducational, ADHD, and gifted assessments. I approach assessments as a collaborative and thoughtful process, using evidence-based tools to better understand how you think, learn, and function. My goal is to provide not just answers, but meaningful insights and clear, practical recommendations that you can apply in everyday life. In therapy, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to develop practical, goal-oriented strategies for change. I also integrate Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to support present-moment awareness and stress reduction, along with Emotionally Focused Therapy to deepen emotional understanding and strengthen relationships. Whether I’m working with you in therapy or through an assessment, I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Kevin Jones

Psychologist, MACP
Kevin’s path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line—it was a discovery of who he truly is and how he wants to contribute to the world. He initially followed the direction his parents encouraged, completing an undergraduate degree in psychology before moving into law. As a lawyer in a full-service firm, he found himself drawn not to the adversarial side of the work, but to the problem-solving, collaboration, and human connection that naturally unfolded when helping clients navigate difficult decisions. Over time, Kevin realized that the parts of law he loved most—listening, understanding, and working together toward solutions—were exactly the pieces that aligned with his values and strengths. He began to ask himself how can I make this the whole job? That question ultimately led him back to psychology, where a collaborative, solution-focused approach could become the foundation of his work. Therapy, he realized, was where he could fully lean into who he is: calm, thoughtful, curious, and deeply oriented toward helping people move forward with clarity. Kevin’s shift into couples counselling grew naturally out of his experience in divorce law. He often saw relationships break down not because of a lack of love, but because communication had eroded long before either partner sought help. Witnessing this was disheartening—it highlighted how many couples were struggling without support and how preventable many of those ruptures could have been. As a therapist, Kevin now has the opportunity to be on the other side of that process. Couples counselling allows him to help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and rediscover connection before the relationship reaches a breaking point. It’s meaningful work that aligns with both his professional insight and his personal desire to help people stay connected rather than fall apart. Today, Kevin brings the best of both worlds—his background in psychology and his experience in law—into a grounded, practical, and deeply human therapeutic style. He is committed to creating a space where individuals and couples can understand themselves, improve their relationships, and navigate life’s complexities with confidence.

Off the Beaten Path Psychology and Wellness

Psychologist, Registered Psychologist
At Off the Beaten Path, we know that individual struggles don't exist in a vacuum. They're connected to the whole family system. That's why we work differently, where you might come to us for support with burnout or people-pleasing, while your teenager sees one of our therapists for identity questions or wellness. We coordinate, listen, and we often step outside of traditional office into nature because that's where some of the best conversations can happen, including the breakthroughs that happen while in movement. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR and attachment-focused work, we help families actually understand each other. If you're looking for therapy that feels real, genuine, and gets real results, please connect.

Calgary's economy is closely tied to the energy sector, making residents particularly vulnerable to the psychological effects of economic downturns and job uncertainty. The city has a young, ambitious professional demographic with growing mental health awareness, and therapists here frequently address anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, and career-related identity challenges. Calgary also has a growing and diverse immigrant population, with many therapists offering culturally informed care for newcomers navigating settlement stress and identity transitions.
