It is different for everyone, but no experience of loss is unworthy of support or validation. If you are walking through loss or grief, you may feel waves of sadness that come without warning. Grief can manifest as tears, anger, numbness, exhaustion, or even guilt over moments of relief or laughter. Whether you have lost a loved one, a relationship, a dream, or a season of life, the ache can feel disorienting and deeply personal. At Selah Counselling, we honour the uniqueness of your grief. There is no timetable and no right way to mourn. We provide a steady space where you can speak about what was lost, process the emotions that surface, and make sense of how this loss has shaped you. Our work focuses on supporting nervous system regulation, helping you integrate the loss into your story, and gently rebuilding hope at a pace that respects your heart. Grief does not disappear, but it can soften as you are supported and understood.

Kingston, New York therapist: MJB Wellness LLC, hypnotherapist
Grief

MJB Wellness LLC

Hypnotherapist, Certified Hypnotherapist and Coach, Certified Sexological Bodyworker, Sex Educator, Certified Reiki
Many of my clients have come to me to get over the loss of someone whether through breakup, divorce, or death. Even when loss isn't the primary reason for them seeking my help, it is often something impacting the issue at hand. In all cases I have been able to help my clients let go and move forward. In hypnosis, we can have people speak with someone who has passed on, whether it is to exchange some final goodbyes, get love and support, resolve some old dispute or trauma. I've had several clients who had trouble letting go after a breakup and we have managed to get them to move on. I had one female client who came to me for a variety of issues. She had been through a difficult divorce and Cancer diagnosis while raising 3 young children. Throughout her ordeal, she had received immense support from the priest at her church but he had passed away and she missed him immensely. In hypnosis, we visited his spirit and she was able to feel again his love and support and get his counsel. As another part of her treatment, we were able to converse with her late father who had abandoned the family when she was a child, and release the trauma that he had caused. Whether you believe in spirits or not, the experiences in hypnosis feel absolutely real and are able to bring peace and resolution.
