Online therapy offers a flexible, accessible way to prioritize mental health from the comfort of your own home. One of its key benefits is confidentiality—secure platforms and encrypted communication help ensure your privacy is protected, allowing you to speak openly with your therapist. Additionally, convenience is a major advantage: online sessions eliminate commute times, making it easier to fit therapy into your schedule. When you're living your life just a little bit differently from other people, it can feel like the world just wasn't made for you - and it sucks. Whether it's how or who you love, how your brain works, the way you seem to worry about absolutely everything, or the decisions you make about what you want your life to look like, it can feel super isolating and discouraging to not feel seen and understood by those around you. When I work with clients, that is my main goal - to help them feel seen, understood, and accepted for who they are. Sure, we will work on your anxiety, I'll give you new techniques to try and different ways to think about the world around you, and we'll explore practical advice for things like workplace stress, relationship issues, and family drama, but I also want to help you like YOU more than you ever have before. It might sound cliche (in fact, I know it does), but developing the ability to back yourself, accept your emotions without judgement, and make decisions that feel truly right to you can make all the difference in the world. AND with online therapy, we can do all of this from the comfort of your own home - no traffic, finding a parking spot, or worrying about being on time! I work with clients virtually throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Starting therapy can be anxiety-provoking at times, which is why I offer free consultations to all prospective clients. You can book a free 20 minute phone call directly on my website, and I'll reach out to you right away to confirm. We can chat about what you're looking for support with AND make sure everything feels like a good fit before scheduling an intake. I can't wait to connect with you!

Telehealth video/audio therapy sessions / Online therapy is a convenient and more accessible alternative to the traditional face-to-face therapy. It is conducted via Internet through the HIPPA compliant portal to secure the privacy and confidentiality of a client. Video/audio therapy serves the same purpose as the therapy in the psychotherapist’s office and for some people may be a more comfortable way of disclosing personal struggles and easier way of connecting with the therapist when they are not able to leave a house or a work place.

Psychologist, PhD, LP
You may be the person everyone depends on. The one who performs, leads, manages, and keeps going no matter what. From the outside, you look capable and composed. But inside, you feel exhausted, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unable to sleep. What used to feel manageable now feels impossible. You are tired of white-knuckling your way through a life that looks successful on paper, but feels unsustainable in reality. I’m Dr. Gayle MacBride, a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. I work with high-achieving adults navigating burnout, insomnia, relationship strain, trauma, and relentless internal pressure. Many of my clients have already tried pushing through on their own. They are not looking for generic advice or passive therapy. They want experienced, evidence-based care that is practical, strategic, and built for meaningful change. My approach is direct, compassionate, and active. We identify what is driving the distress, define clear goals, and use a structured plan to help you move forward. Depending on your needs, I draw from CBT for anxiety and depression, CBT-I for insomnia, Prolonged Exposure and CPT for trauma, and Gottman-informed skills for relationship concerns. For couples who feel unsure whether to stay together, separate, or recommit, I also offer Discernment Counseling. This is therapy designed to help you sleep better, think more clearly, feel more grounded, and function in a way that is effective and sustainable. I offer telehealth for clients in 40+ states, and in-person visits for people in the Southern Metro of Minneapolis. If you are ready to stop performing wellness and start making real changes, I’m here to help.

Telehealth psychology support for life adjustments, trauma, relationships, and body issues. With technology, you can experience all the benefits of in-person therapy in the comfort and privacy of your own home and have continuity of care when you travel. It can be especially helpful to those who find it challenging to travel to an office for appointments due to location, work, children at home, lifestyle, or other practical or personal reasons. You may be located abroad or be a professional who travels, telehealth allows you to get the support and resources and meet you where your life is at. While there are multiple ways that counseling can take place online, I work primarily with face-to-face video conferencing via Zoom and, on occasion, telephone sessions. I always hold my sessions in a quiet and confidential space, giving you the same confidentiality & professionalism that you experience within an office setting. Most, if not all, of my clients, find virtual sessions to be highly effective and convenient. They allow for the comfort and safety of therapy in your own space, and no travel time is often less vulnerable than needing to go to an office. Research of multiple studies finds that online therapy is equally effective as in-person for most cases. That being said I always advocate for what works best for each individual and it is wonderful to have choices to find your best path whichever that may be. If you are not tech-savvy or anxious about using technology, I'll make it as seamless as possible. I have chosen a platform that is easy to use, and I am happy to assist you with any questions or concerns. A common concern I hear from clients regarding online therapy is finding a quiet and/or confidential space when you’re homebound with children, and/or family members or roommates. Please plan this out in advance so you have quiet and privacy during your session. Since it is so convenient many times people forget to allow themselves a few minutes to "switch hats" and allow themselves a few breaths and get settled into being present and in the head/body space for your session. Headphones or AirPods can often make audio clearer or provide more privacy, but are not necessary. Given that video sessions can be conducted on your smartphone, clients have found it helpful to go to a park, connect from wherever you may be, and/or walk around your neighborhood. Get creative and support yourself. Find a private space that allows you to receive support no matter where you are. You are welcome to have pets join your space if you find that comforting and supporting, and you may see my fellow feline/canine therapists join in one of our sessions on my end.
