Dr. Ashley Gulden
Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
Trauma and PTSD can profoundly disrupt your life, affecting relationships and leading to avoidance in work and home life. It’s important to know that PTSD is treatable, and you can feel safe again. I have published research on the impact of trauma and mind-body approaches to alleviating its symptoms. I also have formal training in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Rhythms in Regulation Polyvagal Certification, and trauma-informed Mind-Body Medicine. Together, we can reduce the impact of trauma and effectively treat PTSD. Healing from trauma and processing difficult moments is a journey I consider an honor to support. I look forward to creating a safe space for you to heal.

Dayna Nelson, PsyD, LP
Psychologist, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist
EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain. Dr Nelson uses EMDR to facilitate the bilateral stimulation. EMDR seems to help the brain reprocess the trapped memories is such a way that normal information processing is resumed. Dr. Nelson uses EMDR to help clients uncover and process beliefs that developed as the result of relational traumas, or childhood abuse and/or neglect

Kristen Jackson Banister
Counselor/Therapist, M.A. LPC SEP
Trauma and PTSD can impact how you feel in your body, how you relate to others, and how safe the world feels. You may experience hypervigilance, shutdown, reactivity, or patterns that feel hard to change. My approach is somatic and trauma-informed, meaning we work gently with your nervous system to build a sense of safety, regulation, and capacity before processing deeper experiences. Healing happens at a pace that your body can sustain.

Karen Baumstark, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Ph.D., CMHIMP, CTACC
None of us can escape some level of trauma; inevitably, it will be a part of life. How much it affects us, however, depends on many factors including the nervous system we were born with, our outer resources, and how much relational support we receive to help us recover from the trauma. Many people do not have access to adequate resources to help them recover from trauma (and this is very subjective and personal, varying from person to person), and the trauma continues to affect them in (sometimes subtle, but still) impactful ways. If certain factors come together, PTSD may develop out of trauma. Often clients feel like they have failed because they can't completely "get over" their PTSD reactions. I have often reminded clients that PTSD is "the gift that keeps on giving". It can be very hard, perhaps impossible, to completely eradicate PTSD reactions, because the reaction is not just of the mind, it is of the whole body. My approach to helping clients with trauma and PTSD involves looking at it holistically and working to understand how the trauma changed you, your reaction across many facets of your life (thoughts, feelings, habits, behaviors, self-care or lack thereof, expectations, how you view the world), and then working on replacing what is harmful with what is helpful. The goal isn't to completely get rid of the PTSD symptoms (which is likely impossible) but rather to dramatically reduce its effect on you, so you can live your best life, and so an occasional symptom breaking through will not derail you.

Full Circle Mental Health LLC
Registered Social Worker, MSW, LISW
Trauma doesn’t just live in the past; it echoes in your present, keeping your nervous system trapped in a constant state of hypervigilance, emotional exhaustion, or profound disconnection. Whether you are carrying the weight of acute past wounds, dealing with chronic historical or intergenerational patterns, or navigating the deep, complex pain of religious deconstruction and spiritual trauma, your story matters here. At Full Circle Mental Health LLC, I provide a fiercely safe, non-judgmental telehealth space across Ohio to help you safely process past wounds and reclaim your power.
Because trauma impacts the mind, body, and relationships simultaneously, a one-size-fits-all approach is never enough. My practice is grounded in a deeply trauma-informed, strengths-based framework that honors your innate resilience while prioritizing your emotional safety. Depending on your unique goals, we will weave evidence-based tools into a personalized, virtual roadmap.
You set the pace, and you share only what you are ready to share. In our virtual sessions, we will focus on deepening your self-compassion, dismantling the self-doubt born from past pain, and building sustainable tools for long-term well-being. Together, we will work to bring your life back into a place of authentic alignment, relief, and peace.

Soma Aloia, SoulWork Somatics & Somatic Counseling
Counselor/Therapist, MS, LCST, HES
Complex trauma and CPTSD stem from more than just events in our adult years. These are usually foundational from early developmental trauma and childhood trauma, and can be worked with and healed at any age.
Trauma is not only what happened to you. It is also how those experiences continue to live within the body and nervous system long after events have passed. Using a gentle, body-centered approach, we'll work at a pace that feels safe - restoring connection, resilience, and the freedom to live more fully in the present.
Therapy helps restore safety, connection, and the capacity to move forward without remaining organized around survival. You will learn how to reparent the little ones inside and have an easier relationship with yourself and your body.

Jay Shaw
Hypnotherapist, CHt (Certified Hypnotherapist)
Unresolved trauma doesn't stay in the past it runs in the background of every decision, relationship, and stress response you have today. Identity 2.0 hypnotherapy works to neutralize the subconscious charge attached to past events, reducing triggers and rebuilding a nervous system baseline that isn't controlled by what happened before. This isn't about reliving the pain. It's about removing its authority over your present identity.
