Dustin Hogan - Men's Counselling
Counsellor/Therapist, RTC
As men, we've been expected to show up in a certain way our whole lives. Hold our feelings inside. Be the leader. Man up. Tough it out.
When we ask for help, we're told to "man up" or that we're "weak." When our mental health suffers, we're told to get our it together and shake it off.
It's no wonder the male suicide rate is 3 to 4 times that of women.
So many of us are struggling on the inside and never share that struggle with anyone. We suffer in silence. That is not the way forward. It serves no one.
It can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to do it all alone. But together, we can overcome all of these barriers that are stopping you from living your best life. And I’d love to help you get there!

Men's mental health issues are the most underfunded and under-looked topics in these recent years.
I had my piece of training in exclusive male treatment facilities that support adult men in finding their way to recovery.

Jonah Fialkow
Counsellor/Therapist, MA, RCC
As a therapist, my approach to working with men's issues is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to dismantling harmful stereotypes and societal pressures that affect men. I recognize that men, like everyone else, experience a wide range of emotions, but often face unique challenges in expressing and processing them due to societal expectations of masculinity.
In therapy, I create a safe and non-judgmental space where men can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. I encourage open communication and validation of emotions, emphasizing that vulnerability is not a weakness but a strength. I work collaboratively with my male clients to identify and challenge any unhelpful beliefs or behaviours that may be contributing to their distress or inhibiting their personal growth

Michael Indermaur
Counsellor/Therapist, RCC, MACP, BSc
Men's issues have become a niche for me, I think because men have a particular set of therapy needs that I'm well suited to, and also because certain aspects of my identity make it easier for men to trust and relate to me (the fact that I'm gay and practice Buddhism make me decidedly non-threatening; my past experiences as a new immigrant and an addict have equipped me with humility; and navigating my own struggles with anxiety and depression make me both insightful and "real".
Men often find it easier to relate to other men, but there's also a tendency for males to have certain characteristics that get in the way of vulnerability (and therefore therapy) - my empathetic, open-minded, and warm energy allows men to put this guarded, socially conditioned "game face" on ice, so we are able to see and work on who they are beneath. Some men fear that therapy will be too compassionate - too "lovey-dovey". I have experienced this with female therapists. I do consider myself a fairly hard-hitting, real-talking person, but this may not come to the fore until the third or fourth session. Even so, if you feel that you would benefit from therapy that is extra "light" on compassion, please let me know, so we can include this in your treatment plan.
Men who choose to work with me often come with goals such as relationships (romantic, familial, friendship, and work-based), power/control/anger/acceptance, ADHD symptom management, addictions, anxiety, depression, procrastination, productivity, and life changes/direction. Often, it's a sense of long-term boredom or lack of fulfilment in life. My focus on identity involves developing more self-awareness, less self-criticism, and more vulnerability/intimacy. Depending on your goals, we'll develop a path of treatment that suits who you are, and more importantly, the type of man you want to become: Yes - there are different types of men! You're welcome to contact me if you have questions about this.
