Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCC-S, NCC, CCMHC
Hello and welcome to my private practice. Video sessions are a convenient way to do therapy from your own confidential private space. I provide counseling services via Telehealth for adult individuals. My home state is Ohio and I am only contracted in Ohio to provide any Medicaid services though I am accepting other insurances as out-of-network. I am able to accept Medicare in the states where I am licensed as I am an in-network Medicare provider. If you are seeking an assessment for disability or some other purpose, I would not be able to accept your insurance for Telehealth sessions for that purpose, just for counseling and therapy. Your video sessions deserve the same level of privacy and importance as an in-person session and most people get the most out of sessions when they give them full attention. I prefer in-person sessions since they offer the highest level of confidentiality and conveyance of non-verbal communication, but the convenience of video sessions can make them very worthwhile. Whether you want a combination of in-person and Telehealth, in-person only, or only Telehealth, I may be able to accommodate you. Please note that when you utilize insurance, medical necessity and a mental health diagnosis must be established to bill insurance. I do offer private pay services for people who do not have or want to use insurance.

Brad provides trauma-informed therapy for relationship issues, including communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, recurring conflict, and difficulty maintaining healthy and fulfilling partnerships. Relationship challenges can affect emotional well-being, daily stress levels, family dynamics, and overall quality of life, often leaving individuals or couples feeling stuck, misunderstood, or disconnected. Brad takes a holistic and collaborative approach to relationship counseling, helping clients identify and understand the emotional patterns, attachment styles, and past experiences that may be contributing to current relationship difficulties. Therapy provides a supportive space to explore both present-day challenges and underlying relational or trauma-related factors that may be influencing how partners connect, communicate, and respond to one another. As an experienced trauma therapist and EMDR therapist, Brad integrates EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-informed counseling, emotional regulation strategies, and holistic therapeutic approaches to support healing and healthier relationship functioning. Treatment focuses on improving communication, strengthening emotional awareness, reducing reactivity, and developing more secure and supportive relational patterns. Relationship difficulties are often influenced by deeper emotional experiences, including past trauma, attachment wounds, family-of-origin dynamics, and individual personality differences. Brad’s approach helps clients understand these deeper influences while also focusing on practical, present-day changes that improve connection, trust, and emotional safety. Therapy is tailored to each individual or couple’s needs and is designed to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where both partners (when applicable) can feel heard and understood. The goal is to support meaningful, lasting change rather than temporary conflict resolution. Healing and growth in relationships are possible. With the right support, clients can rebuild trust, improve communication, and create healthier, more balanced, and more fulfilling relationships.

I work with couples at all stages of their relationships, from those looking to deepen connection to those navigating significant strain or considering major decisions about the future. Relationships can be both deeply fulfilling and profoundly challenging, and many couples find themselves stuck in patterns of miscommunication, disconnection, or recurring conflict. My approach is active, direct, and grounded in helping both partners better understand not only each other, but their own contributions to the dynamic. I focus on identifying patterns, improving communication, and fostering greater emotional awareness and accountability within the relationship. I also draw from structured approaches, including discernment counseling when one partner feels uncertain about whether to stay or leave, creating space for thoughtful, intentional decision-making. The goal is not simply to reduce conflict, but to help couples build more meaningful, resilient, and satisfying ways of relating—whether that leads to strengthening the relationship or gaining clarity about next steps.
