Life Coaching

Lincoln Stoller

Counsellor/Therapist, PhD, CHt, CCPCP
Life coaching combines encouragement, guidance, consistency, problem solving, and spiritual direction. Depending on the nature of the person being coached it can be more or less demanding. I distinguish two kinds of coaching and two kinds of clients. The two kinds of coaching are suggestive and assertive. The two kinds of clients are high and low performers. Suggestive coaching suits people who are moving forward and have many choices. Assertive coaching applies to people who have chosen one field and are working to improve their performance in it. High performers are successful people who are considering the meaning and value of their success. These people are working to remove negative elements from their environment. High performers will benefit from addressing their weaknesses and broadening their point of view. Low performers are struggling with aspects of their mental or physical environment and are trying to reach a minimum, comfortable level of achievement. Low performers need to recognize and develop their strengths, and use them effectively. Life coaching plays a role for all of my clients. The high performers can afford to attend to areas they typically neglect. The low performers will benefit from setting aside their focus on weakness. Everyone has abilities and aptitudes they've left undeveloped often because they've been convinced they don't have them. These abilities can be used to your advantage with a certain amount of focus and re-education. At its core, coaching is about helping people learn and giving them the courage to fail successfully. Failing is another word for discovering new skills and opportunities. We've been taught that failure is bad and success is good, but that's a misdirection designed to encourage low-risk labor and the production of salable goods. Real achievers, inventors, and creators fail most of the time. Things, knowledge, people, and cultures advance through trial and error, and the greater the advance, the more errors are required to achieve them. Once you understand that and know how to learn, you can succeed in almost any field. I offer coaching that concerns itself with finding personal direction and creating a valuable life.

Interactive Counselling

Counsellor/Therapist, RPC
Interactive counselling and life coaching use collaborative and engaging methods to help individuals achieve personal growth and overcome obstacles. While counselling often focuses on healing and resolving past or present emotional issues, coaching is typically future-focused and goal-oriented. Both approaches empower clients by fostering self-awareness, building new skills, and developing actionable strategies. This process creates a supportive partnership, holding clients accountable and enabling them to create lasting, positive change in their lives.

Whether you're navigating a transition or simply craving more alignment in your life, this is a space to reconnect with what truly matters. My Coaching Style I take a holistic, person-centered approach that blends practical strategy with deep reflection. Coaching with me is both grounded and expansive—focused on real goals, while honoring the inner process that drives lasting transformation. Focus Areas • Career shifts and purposeful transitions • Personal growth and self-discovery • Goal setting with clarity and intention • Work-life balance that actually works • Building stronger, more authentic relationships What to Expect We begin with a thoughtful exploration of where you are and where you want to go. From there, we co-create a plan that’s clear, doable, and aligned with your values. Along the way, we’ll: • Clarify what truly drives you • Set goals that feel energizing, not overwhelming • Build strategies that move you forward • Unpack limiting beliefs and rewrite your inner narrative • Celebrate every step of progress—big or small This is coaching that meets you where you are and walks with you toward where you’re meant to be.

Struggling to organize your life, manage time, follow through on goals, or handle daily responsibilities? These aren't character flaws—they're skill gaps that can be learned. As a former life skills and career coach, I don't just teach these methods theoretically; I've applied them extensively in real-world settings and know what actually works. Together, we'll build practical systems for planning, prioritization, task initiation, and follow-through that fit how your brain works—not some idealized version. You'll gain concrete tools for managing overwhelm, breaking paralysis, and creating sustainable routines. Understanding meets action. Compassion meets capability. You'll leave sessions with strategies you can actually use.
