Clayre Sessoms
Registered Psychotherapist, RP, CCC, ATR-BC
If you are navigating ADHD, you may be exhausted by standard behavioural advice that tries to force your mind into a rigid, neurotypical mold. My virtual practice in Vancouver, BC, focuses on how your unique cognitive rhythm lives within your nervous system rather than pathologizing your style of focus. Through gentle somatic curiosity and experiential tracking, I help you develop a deeper self-knowing that honours how your brain naturally processes and engages with the world.

Jayne Batten
Counsellor/Therapist, MSc, CT, MPCC, MBACP
I define myself as a “neurodiversity affirming therapist” and feel absolutely honoured to work with neurodiverse individuals and couples. This means I understand and work with autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse groups through the lens of neuroscience. Autism is associated with differences in the brain which result in a divergence from neurotypical standards, in terms of how brains filter and make sense of information. I endeavour to help clients shed misplaced humiliation and a sense of failure by becoming conscious of and removing the notion that ‘typical’ traits are superior. It is the neurodiverse individuals in our society that move humanity along.

Daniel Klassen
Psychologist, Provisional, (P7619) with CAP in Alberta & Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC 19147) with BCACC, for elsewhere in Canada
Daniel is an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) with combined-type ADHD. Drawing from both his professional expertise and a lifetime of personal experience, he brings a rare depth of understanding to developmental disorders such as ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and personality disorders—many of which intersect with trauma, a connection he knows intimately through his own family history. For Daniel, ADHD has been both a gift and a challenge, shaping the course of his character, relationships, and career.
As a child, Daniel struggled with pronounced hyperactivity, chronic inattentiveness, and developmental delays, which often left him emotionally and socially behind his peers. His academic journey was marked by difficulty and isolation, spending much of his time in the “Learning Resource Room,” a constant reminder of the ways he diverged from the norm. Socially, he often felt out of step with others his age, misunderstood and outpaced by the expectations of childhood and adolescence. However, life on a farm provided an unexpected lifeline. The wide-open spaces and unstructured environment offered him a natural outlet for his energy and creativity, allowing him to channel his restlessness into exploration, hands-on learning, and artistic expression.
Even with these supportive elements, school remained a daunting challenge. Traditional educational settings failed to accommodate his learning style, and he endured numerous setbacks. Yet Daniel’s unique mind began to reveal its strengths. He demonstrated a knack for creative problem-solving, often seeing patterns and solutions others missed. While his focus could be inconsistent, he exhibited extraordinary attention to detail when deeply engaged. Over time, his struggles also cultivated a strong emotional awareness—his sensitivity to social dynamics and the needs of others became one of his most defining qualities.
As he matured, Daniel learned to align his innate talents with structure and determination. Through years of persistence, he not only overcame academic hurdles but eventually earned a master’s degree with near-perfect marks—a milestone that reflected not just intellect, but resilience and self-mastery. This academic achievement marked a pivotal shift, enabling him to integrate his creativity, empathy, and analytical thinking into a meaningful and impactful career.
Today, Daniel continues to navigate life with ADHD, a condition that remains an ever-present part of his experience. However, he has learned to harness its positive aspects—rapid cognition, inventive thinking, and emotional insight—and integrate them into both his personal life and professional practice. His lived experience gives him a nearly unparalleled capacity to connect with others facing similar challenges. Over the years, Daniel has turned what was once a source of struggle into a foundation of strength, becoming a clinician defined not by limitations, but by deep capability, nuanced understanding, and enduring resilience.
For ADHD and Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome, Daniel offers both brief screenings and comprehensive, customized assessments that examine common co‑occurring concerns such as trauma, academic and social challenges, personality-related difficulties, autism, and OCD. He welcomes inquiries about this and other testing services he provides.

Loralee Schultz
Registered Psychotherapist, BSc Psyc, MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) CRPO & CCPA & BCACC Member
Standard therapeutic advice often fails ADHD minds by focusing heavily on behavioural compliance, strict routines, or simply 'trying harder.' In our sessions, we completely throw out that neurotypical playbook. Having navigated life with ADHD myself, I work with you to understand the brilliant, complex, and sometimes chaotic way your unique brain actually processes the world. We look closely at executive dysfunction, rejection sensitive dysphoria, and the intense exhaustion of masking. Together, we will focus on building self-compassion and designing customized life strategies that actively support and honour your natural cognitive operating system.

If you have been diagnosed with ADHD or simply feel like you must have it, learn more about the new thinking around ADHD. ADHD brains are simply wired differently than other brains. This doesn't mean they are wired wrong! It's just that most of the systems in our culture are centered those with around the most common brain. My counselling sessions for those with ADHD are affirming, and help you navigate the existing systems, rebuild your self esteem, and find your strengths (even super powers!)
