Julie Cochrane - Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Therapist

Hypnotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, RTT-T, Rewind Therapy Practitioner, Integration Coaching
Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, deeply self-aware and quietly exhausted. They are the ones holding things together at work, at home and for everyone around them. Underneath the competence is often imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, perfectionism, a hard inner critic or a sense of not being allowed to take up space. These are not personality traits. They are subconscious patterns, usually formed early, often reinforced by the cultural messaging women absorb about who they are supposed to be. RTT works directly at that level. We find the original moment a belief was formed and update the meaning attached to it. The work is online via Zoom and confidential. Many clients describe finally feeling like themselves within the first few sessions.

Comox Valley, British Columbia therapist: Julie Taylor Counselling, counselor/therapist
Women's Issues

Julie Taylor Counselling

Counsellor/Therapist, MTC, RCS
My stand on 'women's issues' has not really changed over the years. Originally these views were thought to be feminist. Very feminist. Now those exact same views are seen as more traditionalist! I have always believed in justice, respect and equality, for all human beings. For me, I am a human being first. Woman, second. Perhaps you are a human being first and a man second? I celebrate both! In my opinion each person is equal to every other and if we explore, understand and fill our needs - the same needs whatever our sex, colour or any other demographic - we will be happy. If we do not…. Fullstop. This belief is NVC or Non Violent (or Compassionate) Communication, organized by Dr Marshall Rosenberg in action. As women, our experience of the world is uniquely female. As men it is male. Man and woman stand at the two ends of this spectrum and in between are a thousand iterations of humanity waiting to be explored! I am wide open to hearing your story.

Do you consider yourself spiritual, empathic, intuitive, creative, deep-thinking, or highly sensitive (HSP)? Do you sometimes struggle with emotional overwhelm, anxiety or depression? Are you frequently the empath to the narcissist in your relationships? Do you often ignore what you need and feel codependent or are overly self-reliant in your connections with others? A woman's counselling experience can be best supported with a therapist who understands the particular dynamics of being a woman within the phases of her life. The role of a woman takes many forms in our society and managing through it all we may find we lose a bit of ourselves in the process. Accepting support can be a beautiful start to feeling grounded, navigating change, finding our strengths, accessing resources, and creating a meaningful life that aligns with our values, needs, and desires.

therapist: Nina Hopmeier, licensed professional counselor
Women's Issues

Nina Hopmeier

Licensed Professional Counsellor, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Women’s Issues involve a wide range of topics, some of which include feeling undervalued, underserved in the work place, surviving emotional and physical abuse, power struggles, and sexual trauma. Although each of my clients present with varying concerns one of the commonalities across my work is helping women gain a sense of empowerment and belief in their ability to survive hardships with grace and authenticity. Depending on your unique needs and history I will incorporate various therapy models into our work. We will also explore the barriers that are preventing you from living a rich and fulfilling life. Often unresolved past struggles are linked to current difficulties. Once people gain insight into the factors that prevent them from feeling fulfilled and satisfied, they begin their journey to getting unstuck from pain and helplessness. If you are a women struggling in today’s society I would be happy to help you find the tools that you need in order to live the type of life that you desire and deserve. Feel free to call me to discuss further, it is never too late for change and growth.
