The first session may feel a bit awkward. However, my clients find that once they get started, the virtual sessions don't get in the way of their treatment. I offer sessions on a secure network with therapists in mind. I work to be sure my client's feel as comfortable as possible virtually by reminding them to create a comfortable space for themselves, maybe having a box of tissues, etc. Therapy can be done in a closet, while parked in a car, or sitting at a park as long as there aren't distractions. Virtual sessions are a way to get your needs met without the usual obstacles.
