Allen Shamon
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
I specialize in working with individuals and couples who feel stuck in cycles of disconnection, conflict or emotional distance and are unsure how to repair the bond they once had. Many of the individuals and couples I work with, including LGBTQ+ partners, are navigating betrayal, trauma, attachment injuries, or long standing relational patterns that feel overwhelming or exhausting. I also support individuals whose relationship distress is impacting their mental health, sense of self, or ability to feel secure and connected. My clients are often seeking a deeper sense of emotional safety and connection, and are ready to do the work it takes to heal.
I am an experienced couples therapist who has spent several years working almost exclusively with couples, including LGBTQ+ couples and individuals. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an evidence-based approach that helps partners understand their attachment needs, identify and break negative cycles, and rebuild emotional connection.
Reaching out for couples or individual therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when things feel tense or uncertain. You don’t have to have all the answers before starting. If you are motivated to better understand your relationship patterns and willing to do the work, therapy can be a powerful place to slow down, reconnect, and create meaningful change together.

Approaching patients with cultural humility is a core value at Malak Psychology honoring who you are, your ancestors, and the indigenous land we occupy.

Gayle MacBride
Psychologist, PhD, LP
You may be the person everyone depends on. The one who performs, leads, manages, and keeps going no matter what. From the outside, you look capable and composed. But inside, you feel exhausted, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unable to sleep. What used to feel manageable now feels impossible. You are tired of white-knuckling your way through a life that looks successful on paper, but feels unsustainable in reality.
I’m Dr. Gayle MacBride, a licensed psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. I work with high-achieving adults navigating burnout, insomnia, relationship strain, trauma, and relentless internal pressure. Many of my clients have already tried pushing through on their own. They are not looking for generic advice or passive therapy. They want experienced, evidence-based care that is practical, strategic, and built for meaningful change.
My approach is direct, compassionate, and active. We identify what is driving the distress, define clear goals, and use a structured plan to help you move forward. Depending on your needs, I draw from CBT for anxiety and depression, CBT-I for insomnia, Prolonged Exposure and CPT for trauma, and Gottman-informed skills for relationship concerns. For couples who feel unsure whether to stay together, separate, or recommit, I also offer Discernment Counseling. This is therapy designed to help you sleep better, think more clearly, feel more grounded, and function in a way that is effective and sustainable.
I offer telehealth for clients in 40+ states, and in-person visits for people in the Southern Metro of Minneapolis. If you are ready to stop performing wellness and start making real changes, I’m here to help.

Dr. Jenny Shields

Online therapy doesn’t have to feel distant or impersonal. In fact, my clients often tell me our virtual sessions feel just as warm, authentic, and deeply connected as if we were sitting in the same room. I specialize in helping healthcare providers, executives, and high-achieving professionals who feel burned out, stuck, or quietly overwhelmed—especially folks who’ve been so busy taking care of everyone else they’ve lost touch with themselves. My approach combines evidence-based behavioral science, genuine empathy, and practical strategies designed specifically for your unique challenges and goals.
