Beneath a façade of ultra-confidence, however, often lies a fragile self-esteem that is vulnerable to the slightest criticism. Key Characteristics Grandiosity & Entitlement: Unrealistic beliefs about one's superiority, talent, or achievements, along with an expectation of special treatment or automatic compliance. Lack of Empathy: Difficulty recognizing, understanding, or valuing the feelings, needs, and emotional experiences of others. Need for Constant Admiration: A continuous demand for praise, validation, and center-stage attention from partners, family, or colleagues. Exploitative Behaviour: Using personal, romantic, or professional relationships to achieve personal ends without regard for the impact on others. Fragile Ego & Defensiveness: Experiencing intense anger, contempt, or passive-aggressive behaviour (narcissistic injury) when challenged or criticised.
