- Art Therapy Uses creative activities like drawing, painting, or sculpture as a way to express emotions. It is especially helpful when words are hard to find.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Contemplative Psychotherapy Combines mindfulness and meditation practices with modern psychology. It encourages awareness and compassion as part of the healing process.
- Drama Therapy Uses role-play, storytelling, and theater techniques to explore problems and emotions. It helps people practice new ways of relating to others.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Experiential Therapy Involves hands-on activities to bring emotions into the present moment. It helps clients process feelings more deeply than through conversation alone.
- Gestalt Therapy Encourages awareness of thoughts, feelings, and actions in the present moment. It helps people integrate different parts of themselves for wholeness.
- Hypnotherapy Uses guided relaxation and focus to access the subconscious mind. It is often used for habits, anxiety, and pain management.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Multicultural Therapy Acknowledges the role of culture, race, and identity in mental health. It values diversity and adapts treatment to each person’s background.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
- Psychodrama A group therapy that uses role-play and dramatization to process emotions. It helps clients gain perspective and release tension.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Transactional Analysis Explores interactions through the lens of Parent, Adult, and Child roles. It aims to improve communication and self-awareness.

On Hampstead Heath there is an oak that fell more than thirty years ago and never grew straight again. Its trunk and branches are twisted, low to the ground now, and for decades it has been the tree children climb, more loved than any of the upright oaks standing around it.
I think of that tree often when I sit with women who have built a life outside their home country. Not because anything in them is broken, but because so many arrive believing they should have grown differently: straighter, steadier, less tired from constantly translating themselves, their words, their emotions, who they are, across cultures, relationships, versions of home.
I moved to London myself in 1998. Before training as a therapist, I spent several years working in travel and banking, drawn, even then, to the human conversation inside every transaction, until it made more sense to make that conversation the whole job.
I work with women living outside their home country. The professional who finally reached the stability she worked years for, and found panic attacks waiting on the other side instead of relief. The woman whose closest friendships live in a different time zone now. The woman who has already tried therapy, in a second language, or with someone who told her that if she's depressed, she would be depressed anywhere, missing the point of what she was actually carrying.
If any of that sounds familiar, it makes sense. The cost of building a life somewhere new is rarely named directly, and rarely needs fixing so much as it needs to be witnessed.
My work brings together psychotherapy, life coaching, hypnotherapy and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), used together because that particular exhaustion rarely has one single cause. I offer sessions online, in person in London, and walking outdoors on Hampstead Heath, near that same oak, for those who think more freely while moving than sitting still.
I have been practising since 2003, registered with the BACP, and I speak English, Italian and Neapolitan. My practice is intersectional, and welcomes LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients. Whichever language you arrive in, you're welcome to bring all of yourself, not only the parts that translate easily.
The first session costs less, so there's room to simply find out if something in the conversation feels true, before deciding anything else.
