Saffron Marriner

Counsellor/Therapist, MBACP (Accred)
My name is Saffron. I am an accredited member of the BACP and have been practicing as a counsellor and psychotherapist for twenty years both within an agency setting as well as within my private practice, where I offer face to face, online, telephone and walk and talk appointments. I have worked with clients across the age range of 16 up to and past the retirement age. The service that I offer welcomes people from all backgrounds in a way which is non discriminatory and supportive. Counselling offers an opportunity to process personal challenges and difficulties within an environment that is supportive and confidential. At times this might include discussing painful and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, emotions. You are not alone with this as many people experience these at different points of their lives. When this is happening it can be hard to remain in a positive and focused frame of mind. Sometimes people feel overwhelmed and feel unable to continue to cope in the way that they usually could with their life on a day to day basis. One of the ways that counselling can help is by providing a space to process personal, behavioural and relationship issues in a safe and confidential way with a qualified professional. My role is to support you with this process in a way that is non judgmental, free from criticism or giving advice as to what I believe is the right thing for you to do. By working together in this way I am there alongside you as you find your own answers in a way that is right for you as we are all individual and unique and what is right for one person may not feel right for someone else. Of course you don't have to tell me everything about yourself and your life if you are not comfortable with this however you may find it beneficial to be as open and honest as you are able to be.

John Castleford

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, MIAEB, FRAI
I have been a psychotherapist and mental health coach for many years, and I now specialise almost exclusively in helping those with, or recovering from, cancer. It's a debilitating disease that I have experienced twice, so I know at first hand the effect it can have on the quality of life and particularly how it makes us feel -- either as a reaction to being diagnosed and undergoing treatment, or when in remission as a survivor, the fear of it recurring. I can also help family members and close friends, who often feel helpless bystanders. We have all experienced our feelings dominating what we think, and what we do. But heightened emotions stop us thinking clearly. And that can often lead us to feel out of control. Unlike many therapists, I do not believe that the adverse effect on our thinking and our behaviour from a life-changing event like cancer is a dysfunctional flaw or a disorder that needs treatment. Typical reactions to cancer --anxiety, fear, stress and low mood -- are part of life. Why cancer often triggers is a range of reactions: shock and denial; Shock and denial that it is happening. Coping with fear, anxiety and panic can be difficult, particularly as mood swings may frequently change. Feelings of sadness may range from low moof to extreme depression. Ultimately we know, at a rational level, that we are mortal. But we also have we also have a very strong instinct to survive. We want to live. And enjoy life. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was. I can help you come to terms with the reality as well as the inevitable perceptions that may influence you. And I can help you to flourish, rather than just cope and survive.

Karine Flynn

Psychologist, MSc, GMBPS
You've done real therapeutic work. You understand your patterns with a clarity that took years to build: why your nervous system braces before a difficult conversation, why certain relationships seem to confirm your oldest fears, why the same emotional weather keeps returning no matter how much you've examined it. That understanding is not the problem. There is simply a neurobiological ceiling to what verbal processing can reach. Some people hit it - and when they do, the patterns that remain aren't stored as thoughts to be reframed. They live in the nervous system, in the body's tissues, in responses that were encoded long before language was available to organise them. I work at that ceiling. Not because what came before was wrong - but because the next layer of work requires a different kind of access. With over 20 years of experience and a deep specialisation in body-based trauma release, I work with self-aware individuals who are ready to move from understanding their patterns to releasing them. If that's where you are, I'd like to hear from you.

Claire de la Varre

Therapist, PhD, HGDipP
If life feels overwhelming, therapy can help you find a way forward. My aim is simple: to help you feel better, think more clearly and feel more in control of your life. Whether you are struggling with illness, anxiety, relationships, difficult emotions or unwanted habits, we can work together to make things feel more manageable. I take a whole-person approach. We look at what is happening in your mind and body, as well as the relationships and circumstances that shape your life. I will help you understand what you need and develop practical ways to feel better and make lasting changes. I can help with things like anxiety, low mood, smoking, drinking, binge eating, nail biting, doom scrolling and other habits you would like to change. I can also help you build healthier behaviours, greater confidence and emotional resilience. My approach combines Human Givens therapy where we look at whether your basic emotional needs are being met, hypnotherapy, and Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT). You will have tools and practical resources to use between sessions, including recordings and handouts.

Life Coach, M.S. Psychology
We Are Drawn To Our Natural Rhythms As someone who has had their own continuous journey with sleep, restfulness and dreams—I’m not leading you anywhere into the depths of the night that I haven’t been. I come with a satchel full of useful tools and a humble curiosity about what it means to rest well, and try again. Dr. Stéphanie Gamache, PhD

Hypnotherapist, PhD
Something in you knows that what you're carrying runs deeper than the presenting problem. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and outwardly composed-yet internally they live with anxiety, depression, chronic tension or pain, relentless self-criticism, or a sense that something essential is blocked, muted, or just out of reach. These struggles may surface in mood, in the body, in behavior, or in relationships-including sexuality and intimacy-but they are rarely contained to any one area. They tend to reflect deeper emotional and relational patterns formed early in life, often before language, that continue to shape how a person approaches closeness, vulnerability, agency, pleasure, and self-expression. My work centers on how early experience shapes the capacity for self-regulation, desire, connection, and meaning throughout life-and particularly on how people come to know what they need and want, how they learn to express or inhibit those impulses, and what happens when these capacities become conflicted, constricted, or difficult to sustain. I integrate psychoanalytic hypnotherapy, somatic awareness, and clinical sexology within a reflective, depth-oriented process. Hypnosis functions as a central clinical tool-creating conditions for deeper internal contact with emotional, bodily, and unconscious experience that can be difficult to reach through conversation alone. The aim is not only relief from symptoms, but the development of a more coherent and compassionate relationship with one's inner life: sensations, emotions, impulses, and desires. This work is oriented toward lasting psychological change-and toward greater freedom in how one relates to oneself, one's body, and one's capacity for connection, authenticity, and vitality. It is best suited to those ready to move beyond symptom management toward something more fundamental.

Iva Taylor Hypnosisbloom Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapist, CHt. Certified Hypnotherapist, Life Coach
Iva Taylor, CHt: Hypnotherapist Specializing in Subconscious System Alignment Ending Inner Conflict and Creating Effortless Clarity Are you exhausted by constant inner conflict? Do you feel like your brilliant, strategic mind and your wise intuition are locked in an endless argument, leading to anxiety, indecision, and burnout? My practice is built on the philosophy that lasting transformation is systematic, not random. My work focuses on fixing the root cause of this conflict: subconscious incoherence. My Core Programs: A System Upgrade for Mind, Heart, and Youth I specialize in three proprietary, structured therapeutic programs designed to resolve specific areas of inner conflict and behavioral patterns: The Integrated Inner Child Program (IICP): Resolves emotional stagnation and self-sabotage by addressing the source of limiting beliefs and subconscious patterns. We heal the past so it can no longer compromise your present. The Teenager’s Project Program (TPP): An 8-module therapeutic program specifically engineered for adolescents navigating modern emotional crises, anxiety, and self-harming tendencies. By combining subconscious alignment with compassionate therapy and coaching, this blueprint helps teenagers resolve internal chaos, safely process overwhelming emotions, and rebuild a resilient sense of self-worth from the inside out. The Heart-Mind Integrated Coherence Program (HMICP): This six-session blueprint is for clients ready to move from healing into mastery. It teaches you to harness the heart's energy to train your mind and nervous system to work in perfect synchronicity. The result is Effortless Decision-Making, Unstoppable Focus, and profound Self-Worth. My Approach: Coherence, Not Compromise I do not offer generalized relaxation. I provide a precise, therapeutic system for mastering emotions and the mind. My clients are successful professionals, creators, and parents who are ready to stop managing their anxiety and start eliminating it at the root. As the expert on your life, you already hold the wisdom to succeed. My role is to provide the blueprint and the tools to install a new, coherent operating system. Sumer Statler Aeed

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist
I am a psychologist that is passionate about all of us living the fully awake and vibrant lives we are meant to. Sometimes this involves healing from the past, other times it means working towards visioning and creating the future, oftentimes both. It generally involves some insight but also a good dose of experiential tools and learning about your central nervous system and how to both understand and work with it, what we call both top down and bottom up tools. Ready for real change and willing to do the work? (yep it is work but well worth it) Let's go.
