New York City, New York therapist: Kate E. Stephenson, life coach
Women's Issues

Kate E. Stephenson

Life Coach, ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Holistic Life, Career & Executive
Let's talk truth. As a function of the culture in which we find ourselves today, it is an undeniable fact that in general men and women are not treated the same. We do not have the same struggles. We are not trained or educated in the same ways. We have been conditioned to perceive things differently. That is not to negate individual perspectives, talents, abilities, situations or experiences. We're all different, and yet we live in this culture which has an effect on us and we an effect on it. I've coached hundreds of women using tools designed specifically for women to help you answer your callings and claim your power to play as big as you want. I am NOT offering therapy—I leave the work of diagnosis and treatment of medical issues to medical professionals. However, coaching can absolutely complement and supplement the therapy work you are doing; our work together will be therapeutic without being therapy. When I was introduced to these tools, I saw my life in a new way. I came to understand my own behavior and the behaviors of many of the women around me in a way that made so much more sense. I am so proud to introduce this work and its tools to other women who want to play bigger in their own lives. Introductory chats are free of charge, so what's stopping you from scheduling one right now?

therapist: Julie Cochrane - Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Therapist, hypnotherapist
Women's Issues

Julie Cochrane - Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Therapist

Hypnotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, RTT-T, Rewind Therapy Practitioner, Integration Coaching
Many of the women I work with are high-achieving, deeply self-aware and quietly exhausted. They are the ones holding things together at work, at home and for everyone around them. Underneath the competence is often imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, perfectionism, a hard inner critic or a sense of not being allowed to take up space. These are not personality traits. They are subconscious patterns, usually formed early, often reinforced by the cultural messaging women absorb about who they are supposed to be. RTT works directly at that level. We find the original moment a belief was formed and update the meaning attached to it. The work is online via Zoom and confidential. Many clients describe finally feeling like themselves within the first few sessions.

Women must recognize that there is no man without a woman. Once upon a time, women were taught that self worth came from men's validation, whether a father, a brother or a husband. Today, women are independent by choice or homemakers by choice. Not that long ago women were not allowed to vote. Now we can run for president. Self confidence, self love, self respect and validation is an ongoing emotional process...Never stop loving...

Women's Issues

Rebecca Castle-Waller

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
Hey Survivor, are you tired of feeling guilty and overwhelmed all the time? Everyone else seems so together and you're stuck battling your past? I get it. My name is Rebecca Castle-Waller and I help badass women with trauma become present in their lives and in their relationships, so you can actually enjoy this life you've built. Many of my clients grew up in chaotic and unstable homes where from a young age they started taking care of others. Making meals, waking their parents up for work, getting their siblings off to school. From there, you went on to take care of your partner and your kiddos while also working hard to keep everything running smoothly. Now with work and relationships and family drama and life you feel constantly stressed out and like you should be doing more. Oh, and you're doing all of this while facing nightmares, flashbacks, numbness, random waves of anger, and the like. Who's taking care of you? Let's give you a space where you can be your messy, imperfect self so you can finally take care of you. It's time to heal your trauma, you've built an amazing life and you deserve to actually live it.

Jean-Marie Bottequin

Life Coach, WAPP
Woman: Fight your urge for perfectionism! Many women suffer from the compulsion to deliver even better results. There is nothing wrong with that in principle, but it often leads to delays and excessive workloads. In order for women to get into leadership positions, they have to leave perfectionism at home and learn to sometimes just be content. Perceive your inner family By establishing contact and this communication with our body, we create the prerequisite for a serious change in the way we treat ourselves. We trace our prohibitions in order to be able to give permission where we have been restricted up to now. Let us now look at those parts of ourselves that restrict us: we find them in our inner family. Strengthen your own personality in the long term On the basis of a fairy tale ("The Seal Woman"), we work out the gaps and pitfalls of our own personality in a playful way, step by step. Through various exercises and role plays, the female participants become aware of their own identity. The goal is to return to the origin, to the natural "wild" nature of the woman. The further goal is to learn to be independent and to determine one's own life, both in good and difficult times. We know sentences like: "Be modest; adapt yourself; don't think too much; don't get the idea of getting out of line; be kind and say yes, even if it hurts and if you are almost choking on the word...". To follow such a loveless value system in our society leads to extreme inner conflict. "If we give up our true needs to exchange ourselves for the comfort of a golden cage, we will be grafted with the views of the dried-up old perfectionists". (Clarissa Pinkola Estès) Your benefit - to be able to distinguish the important from the urgent - follow one's own nature - remain authentic - stay mentally healthy to be able to act effectively "A woman hungry for her true soul life may appear elegant and well-fed from the outside, but inside she is a wide open throat with pleadingly outstretched arms and claws". (Clarissa Pinkola Estès)

Do you consider yourself spiritual, empathic, intuitive, creative, deep-thinking, or highly sensitive (HSP)? Do you sometimes struggle with emotional overwhelm, anxiety or depression? Are you frequently the empath to the narcissist in your relationships? Do you often ignore what you need and feel codependent or are overly self-reliant in your connections with others? Do you sense that “younger,” unhealed aspects within you might be sabotaging your health, livelihood, relationships, or your willingness to ask for support? I specialize in supporting women to heal “unfinished emotional business” from the past in a strength-focused, non-pathologizing, depth-oriented, and strictly confidential way.
